We Bet You Didn't Know Jordyn Woods Has 13 Tattoos

In August 2019, Woods debuted a long script tattoo on her left forearm via Instagram. It reads, "What's meant for me will never miss me." The piece was tattooed by her brother and features dainty cursive letters that start near her wrist and run along the length of her forearm, stopping just before the elbow. The quote draws inspiration from the Arabian writer and theologian Al-Shafi'I's writings, with the entire passage reading: "My heart is at ease knowing that what was meant for me will never miss me, and that what misses me was never meant for me."

While many believed the design was in response to the very public feud she had with the Kardashian-Jenner family that same year following the scandal with Tristan Thompson, she later cleared that up. In a 2020 video interview with Women's Health, she said, "It's a good quote to constantly go back to and know that if it's not in your life, then it's not supposed to be there."

The Roman numeral "XXIII" is tattooed on the nape of Woods's neck as an ode to the legendary basketball star, Michael Jordan. She got the athlete's jersey number, 23, in 2015. It was done by her brother and LA-based tattooist, Joshua Woods. "Just landed in LA and decided to go get tatted by my brother @jwoodzart," she captioned her Instagram post unveiling the fresh design. "Wouldn't want anyone else to do this one for me. 23 forever."

Located on Woods's shoulder directly above her left collarbone is the word "Forever" in a beautiful cursive script. While speaking about her body artwork with Women's Health, the star described this piece as her "most sentimental tattoo," adding that it was done in her mom's handwriting.

Woods's most prominent tattoo is located in the centre of her back between her shoulder blades. Inspired by Hindu philosophy, the piece is an intricately drawn depiction of the seven chakras scale. It refers to the seven essential energy points in our body that dictate our physical and emotional health. "It all starts at the root.." she wrote on Instagram, alongside a close-up of her spine tattoo.

The letter "J" is inscribed on Woods's left side. The ribcage tattoo is in remembrance of her late father, John Woods, who passed away in 2017 following a battle with cancer.

A one-word tattoo can be seen on Woods's left leg, placed horizontally above the ankle. But since the letters are in a small font it's hard to make out exactly what it says.
