I've been putting my skin through the ringer for the last month. Typically, I keep my face out of the sun, especially during the summer, but when I was on holiday, I may or may not have fallen asleep on a lounge chair outside and woken up to a pretty nasty sunburn. What I Like About Josie Maran's Triple Hydroxy Resurfacing Liquid
From just looking at the above before and after photos, which were taken three weeks apart, I can see a world of difference. After my sunburn started to fade, there was no lingering damage; in fact, my skin looked brighter and more even-toned. You can still see my freckles peeking out (which I love), but my face felt smoother than ever.
I also appreciate that it doesn't irritate my skin or make it feel more sensitive. There is a very minimal scent (which comes from the ingredients, since there is no synthetic fragrance added to the product) and it glides on smoothly and effortlessly with a cotton round. The best part has to be how my skin feels, though. I still have some light texture around my nose, but overall, my skin looks and feels so much better.
How to Use Josie Maran's Triple Hydroxy Resurfacing Liquid
Using Josie Maran's Triple Hydroxy Resurfacing Liquid is easy. The brand suggests saturating a cotton round with the product and gently swiping it on a dry face and neck, so that's exactly what I do. After letting the product soak in for two minutes, you're then supposed to go in with your favourite moisturiser. Mine at the moment is Matter of Fact's Minimalist Hydrating Moisturiser With Pro-Vitamin B5 ($68).
Even though this product is gentle on the skin, it's still recommended to slowly work it into your skin-care routine, starting out by using it one to two times a week and working your way up if you want to use it more. My skin is more on the sensitive side, so I aired with caution and used it just twice a week.
What to Consider Before Trying Josie Maran's Triple Hydroxy Resurfacing Liquid
It's important to note that since this product is formulated with alpha hydroxy acids, your skin might be more prone to sun sensitivity, so it's important to layer on sunscreen in the mornings (which you should be wearing every day, anyway). Otherwise, if you have any kind of skin texture concerns or want to fade spots of hyperpigmentation, I would recommend trying out Josie Maran's Triple Hydroxy Resurfacing Liquid. With continued use over the span of a month, I'm very happy with the results, and I can only imagine how much better my skin will look months from now.

At $72, this product is not cheap, but I think it's worth every penny. A little of the liquid goes a long way, and with 1.7 fluid ounces, this should be able to last you a few months, especially if you're only using it a few times a week.
