Jourdan Dunn just took the hottest nail art trend of the season and gave it a festive twist at the 2019 British Fashion Awards. The British model wore a gold holographic French manicure, and if you weren't already considering trying the '90s beauty trend, you definitely will now.

Luckily for us, Dunn's manicurist, Kate Williamson, gave POPSUGAR the lowdown on exactly how she created the look and how you can re-create it. "The Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood dress [Dunn wore] was full of gold embellishment, so I wanted to keep the nails chic but with an edge," she explained as to why she chose a classic French manicure.

Williamson started with a neutral base colour using Nails Inc in "Such a Re-Leaf" (£15) (from the Nails Inc Just Kinda Bliss duo), then moved onto carefully creating a long, almond shaped French tip using Color Club in "Cherubic" (£10), which is a superpigmented, rustic-looking holographic gold hue. Williamson also used the same golden shade on Dunn's toes. "All in all, she was a golden goddess," Williamson added.

The best part is that — with a steady hand and the right tools — this isn't an impossible nail art look to try at home, particularly if you've interested in trying the French manicure with a twist trend. As well as this design, we also think a gold foil tip would be just as fun and festive (although definitely harder to execute).

But the fun didn't stop at just the nails. Dunn wore Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Trophy Wife mixed with body cream to create a dewy, golden highlight on her whole body. Read on to get a close-up look of Dunn's nails from the British Fashion Awards — I know what nail art I'm trying out next.
