Lily Collins may be loyal to her "Birkin" bangs, but that doesn't mean she's opposed to a subtle trim. The "Emily in Paris" actor recently shared her "fall fringe refresh" on Instagram, offering a close look at her freshly-cut fringe and shoulder-length hair. It appears Collins opted for a hair "dusting," a common term for cutting a very small amount of hair, and refreshed her colour with highlights, as her dark, chocolate brown hair now has a lighter tone.

Though her fringe previously extended to her eyelids, with her hair at chest length, Collins's bangs now hit right at her famous brows while her hair reaches slightly below her shoulders. The ever-so-slight change is exactly what "dusting" looks like, which is designed to keep hair healthy without sacrificing length.

"A dusting helps by [cutting] those ends that sound crunchy whenever you run your fingers through your hair," Leonardo Manetti, master stylist at Rob Peetoom Salon Williamsburg, recently explained to POPSUGAR. He added that getting your hair dusted regularly is one of the best ways to maintain your hair health as it grows.

Aside from her initial bang reveal in November 2021, Collins hasn't been one for a dramatic hair transformation. As stars like Jennifer Aniston, Megan Fox, and Rowan Blanchard have demonstrated recently, "dusting" is an easy commitment for those similarly looking for a minimal alteration.
