It's official: the best dressed wedding guest award goes to Lupita Nyong'o, but probably not for the reason you'd think. Nyong'o attended a wedding last weekend sporting a colourful pink, red, and yellow saree, gold chandelier earrings, and a smoky eye with a berry lip. What really took her look to the next level, however, was the intricate jagua tattoo design on her (newly) shaved head.

Nyong'o shared a close up view of her entire ensemble in an Instagram post she captioned, "When we are invited to an Indian wedding, we USE WHAT WE GOT to HONOR & CELEBRATE! #BaldieBrigade" In the video, Nyong'o can be seen twirling for the camera in order to show off both her out and her head, which featured an intricate design that covered her entire head and nape of her neck.

The design was created by New York based, self-taught henna artist Sabeen Marghoob. Marghoob used jagua, a natural blue-black skin dye that comes from the Genipa Americana tree in South America. Typically, jagua designs last up to two weeks, but their longevity is dependent upon skin type among other things.

We got our first look at Nyong'o's shaved head last week, when she shared a photo on Instagram with the caption, "Happy without hair!" Prior to shaving her head completely, back in April Nyong'o chopped her hair into a buzz cut, a style that has been popular among celebrities like Doja Cat.
