Retro Hair Accessories

The trend: Retro Hair Accessories

The breakdown: Perhaps one of the most buzzed about beauty trends that emerged from fashion week was the plethora of old school hair accessories models rocked down the runway. Guido, the hairstylist at Alexander Wang, resurrected the "claw clip" (which some people are calling the banana clip) and paired it with gelled hair. Tom Ford's models sported mock mullets and Lurex headbands, and stretchy hair comb accessories were worn at Prabal Gurung. Thanks to street style and Instagram, the scrunchy has also made a comeback.

Get the look: The world is your oyster when it comes to incorporating these retro hair accessories into your #OOTD. A slick high or low ponytail will work with all of the above. Try it with a little gel or hairspray to tame flyaways.
