The trend: Glittery Lids
The breakdown: Bust out the Kira Kira app 'cause 2018 is going to be a glitter party for your eyelids. From Oscar de la Renta's sheer pink eyes topped with white iridescent glitter, to chunky black glitter smoky eyes at Libertine, to holographic glitter atop nude lids at Milly, there was no shortage of sparkle. We've also seen the glitter lid trend continue to hit other fashion week runways. For example, at LFW's London College of Fashion show, MAC Cosmetics artists used a not-yet-launched iridescent glitter pigment that's sent the internet into a frenzy.
Get the look: The most important part of making glitter work is, well, ensuring it stays put. For that, you'll need the proper medium. At Oscar de la Renta, MAC makeup artists used Grand Illusion Glossy Liquid Lip Color to help glitter adhere, and at Milly (pictured) they pressed MAC's Mixing Medium Shine onto the lid before pressing on MAC Glitter in 3D Silver.
