The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution (£6) means business. Serious business. Don't be fooled by thinking the affordable price tag doesn't mean this isn't a very powerful acid peel. Technically, this may not fall under the same mask umbrella as other products in the list, but it's the treatment I turn to in place of where I'd use another mask in my skincare routine. The peel is packed with both AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids), which exfoliate the outer layer of the skin and BHAs (beta-hydroxy acids), which reach deeper to help clear the skin of congestion. In just 5-10 minutes (never longer than 10 minutes), blemishes appear reduced (for me, this is especially true for those pesky under-the-skin spots), and the complexion appears brighter.
Since this is such a strong acid peel, it is not recommended on sensitive skin types or those with any cracked or peeling patches. It's definitely one to use with caution, but when used right, can be a total game changer in your routine.
