I curled and applied my go-to non-waterproof mascara and let it sit for 30 seconds to a minute. As I was applying the topcoat my lashes started to clump together, forming spider lashes. However, that was a simple fix — I used a clean mascara wand or comb and brushed out my lashes to separate the clumps.
