The Show That Started It All

Let's start at the very beginning. Kaitlyn received the coveted role of Bachelorette for the show's eleventh season in 2015. It was the first time the series invited two women, Kaitlyn and Britt Nilson, back to the show, only to have the group of men vote and decide which of the pair would be the Bachelorette. The majority of the men voted for Kaitlyn and the rest is history.

By the finale of one of the more controversial seasons of The Bachelorette, Kaitlyn accepted the proposal of Shawn Booth. The pair were one of the more successful couples from the reality TV series, staying together for three years. The couple even shared their engagement photos with Bachelor Nation. But like many couples from the series, the pair went their separate ways. Luckily, all seems to be amicable, and they reportedly remain friends.

Becca's Season of the Bachelorette

Many Bachelorette fans were smitten with Jason Tartick right from the first cocktail party. A hockey-loving young man from Buffalo, NY, Jason and Becca had a strong connection and solid relationship on the show. But when it came to the week of fantasy suites, Becca made the difficult decision to break up with Jason. After leaving the show, Jason was publicly respectful and supportive of Becca's decision, and their breakup allowed Jason to meet his current partner.

Off The Vine

Kaitlyn and Jason officially met on Kaitlyn's podcast, Off The Vine in January 2019. Kaitlyn had former contestants of Becca's season Blake Horstmann and Jason on the show to talk everything wine and The Bachelorette. Kaitlyn revealed on the reunion special that listeners of her podcast felt their chemistry and Jason asked Kaitlyn on a date after they recorded the episode. Kaitlyn shared on the reunion special that prior to starting their relationship and dating, she actually called Becca to let her know, showing that the binds between former Bachelorettes are very strong.

All Over Social Media

Before broadcasting their relationship status online, Jason confirmed rumours on The Today Show that he Kaitlyn were, in fact, an item. Just a few weeks after their first date in January, Kaitlyn shared a picture of the pair in February of 2019 with a long caption extending gratitude to her partner, and empowering others to be themselves and trust their heart.

Making It Official

Around the same time, Jason too, revealed a picture of the pair cuddling up on Instagram making their relationship "Instagram official." Since then, the pair have been all over each others social media accounts, giving Bachelor Nation a glimpse into their relationship.

What's In Store for the Future

The former Bachelorette recently revealed to People Magazine that she and Jason are planning a trip to her home country of Canada in August. Even if their meeting was a bit unconventional, the pair appear to be so happy with one another.
