Kendrick Lamar may have had the best night at the Grammys, hands down. Not only did he open the show with a powerful performance featuring U2 and Dave Chappelle, but he also took home a handful of awards, including best rap album for DAMN. During his speech, Kendrick took a moment to talk to the crowd about the importance of the award and what it means to him. "This is a special award because of rap music," he said. "Most importantly, it showed me the true definition of what an artist was. From the jump I thought it was about the accolades, the cars, and the clothes, but it's really about expressing yourself and putting that paint on the canvas for the world to evolve." He also gave JAY-Z, Nas, and Diddy special shout-outs, before walking off the stage and shouting, "JAY for president." Well said, Kendrick.
