Liam Hemsworth Breaks His Silence After Miley Cyrus Split With a Heartfelt Instagram Post
Liam Hemsworth has spoken out about his split from Miley Cyrus, and there's nothing but "peace and love" between the two. After it was reported that Liam spoke to Daily Mail Australia, the actor set the record straight with an Instagram post on Monday night. "Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward," he said. "This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and love."
He wrote the heartfelt caption alongside a tranquil photo of a beach sunset. Meanwhile, Miley posted a few reflective photos of her own on Instagram, saying, "I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own."
Liam and Miley dated off and on for a decade after they met on the set of The Last Song in 2009. After they lost their Malibu house during Southern California's devastating Woolsey Fire in November 2018, they wed in a private ceremony at their Nashville home in December. Less than a year later, the split appears to be amicable, and the 26-year-old singer and 29-year-old actor will reportedly remain dedicated parents to all of their animals.
