Ariana Grande and husband Dalton Gomez have reportedly separated after two years of marriage. People confirmed the news on 17 July. A source told the outlet that they separated earlier this year and "have been quietly and lovingly working on their friendship" ever since. TMZ first reported news of their separation. Representatives for Grande did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR's request for comment.

News of Gomez and Dalton's split comes amid rumours that they were having issues. Grande was spotted without her engagement ring and wedding band at Wimbledon on 16 July. Fans also noticed Dalton had deactivated his Instagram account back in April. People reported that Grande did make an Instagram post for their wedding anniversary in May, writing over a photo from their wedding, "I love him so."

Grande, 30, and the 27-year-old real estate agent were first linked together in February 2020 when they were photographed kissing outside of a bar. Three months later, they went public with their romance when Gomez appeared in Grande's "Stuck With U" music video featuring Justin Bieber.

They eventually got engaged in December 2020. "Forever n then some," Grande captioned an Instagram album featuring photos of the two together. In May 2021, the couple made things official when they tied the knot in a small ceremony. According to People, the nuptials were "tiny and intimate — less than 20 people. The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier."

Grande has been in London filming the two "Wicked" movies since last year. Broadway World reported on July 14 that production has halted on the film due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Grande shared a message of support for the strike on Instagram, per the outlet.

On her 30th birthday in June, Grande shared a throwback photo of herself dressed as Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz" and wrote in part in the caption, "i trust you implicitly & have never been prouder of you."
