Brandy Shares Health Update After Reportedly Being Hospitalised: "Thank You For Your Prayers"

Brandy is sharing a health update after multiple reports circulated on 12 Oct. claiming she was hospitalised for a possible seizure. "To my beloved fam, friends, and starz thank you for sending love and light my way," she wrote in an Instagram Story. "I am following doctors' orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition. Thank you for your prayers and support. Grateful for you all, see you soon. ❤️⭐️"

TMZ first reported the news, claiming that sources from law enforcement said they received an emergency call to Brandy's home on 11 Oct. around noon. A rep for Brandy did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR's request for comment.

In June 2017, the Grammy winner suffered a similar incident when she was found unconscious on a Delta flight that was scheduled to fly from LAX to JFK, Entertainment Tonight reported. At the time, the LA County Fire Department and a spokesperson for Delta confirmed to the outlet that a passenger on the flight, believed to be Brandy, was transported to a local hospital via an ambulance. A rep for the singer later released a statement to ET after she was discharged from the hospital.

"She has been travelling extensively as part of an ongoing tour and several personal appearances," Brandy's rep previously told ET. "In recent days, she has taken more than 10 long-haul flights including internationally. She was in the studio all night last night until it was time for her to leave for the airport to catch a 5:45 a.m. flight. The stress of all of the travelling and working so incessantly has exhausted her."
