Globe Nominees Unite at the Gold Meets Golden LA Soirée — See the Photos!
It was a fun-filled day for celebrities at the Gold Meets Golden party in Beverly Hills, CA, on Jan. 4. The event — which is held annually to connect famous entertainers with athletes and Olympians ahead of the Golden Globes award show — attracted some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
This year, stars such as Nicole Kidman, Beanie Feldstein, Joey King, Ben Platt, and Zoey Deutch descended on the Los Angeles scene to celebrate with athletes, including track and field star Dalilah Muhammad and Paralympic swimmer Mallory Weggemann. Guests posed for a few photo ops on the red carpet and in the venue where they enjoyed a performance by Harriet's Cynthia Erivo.
Many of the Hollywood attendees are anticipating an exciting night at the Golden Globes, which airs Jan. 5. While Ben is in the running for best actor in a TV musical or comedy for his role in Netflix's The Politician, Nicole is up for best actress in a TV drama for her part in HBO's Big Little Lies. Meanwhile, Joey earned a nod in the category for best performance by an actress in a limited series, and Beanie — who brought girlfriend Bonnie Chance Roberts to the Gold Meets Golden event — is nominated for best actress in a musical or comedy for portraying Molly in Booksmart.
