Jack Whitehall and Roxy Horner Welcome Baby Girl, and Tease a Hilarious Name
Jack Whitehall has welcomed a baby girl with his model partner, Roxy Horner. The comedian revealed the happy news on Instagram on 6 September with two gorgeous photos taken from the hospital. "Utterly overwhelming and joyous in ways I couldn't have even imagined," Whitehall captioned the post. In typical funny man style, he went onto joke that he is fast leaning into his new dad persona, adding "Having vowed I'd never that guy I am now 100% going to be the parent that shows everyone endless pictures of their kid."
While no name has been revealed just yet, Whitehall did hint at what direction he might be swaying towards. "Name wise after this weekend I think 'rice, rice, baby' has a nice ring to it," he wrote, alluding to Arsenal's Declan Rice scoring against Manchester United last weekend.
Fans were quick to wish the new parents their congratulations including none other than Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson. "Rock, DJ, Dwayne or Dwanette… all amazing names! Congratulations brother to you and amazing mama!!" he commented. Now Dwanette does have a certain ring to it. . .
Whitehall and Horner have been dating for over three years, having first met in Australia while holidaying overseas, and announced they were expecting in May. Whitehall has regularly used his journey to settling down in his comedy routines, white Horner previously opened up to Hello magazine about how they experienced pregnancy loss last year. "I think because we did go through that miscarriage you realise how fragile the baby is, and just how common actually a miscarriage is, and that so many women go through it - I had no idea how common it actually was. It just makes this feel extra special and you're more grateful that everything's fine," she said.
Now the couple are navigating life as parents, soon to be followed by fellow comedian Joel Dommett and Hannah Cooper who are expecting their first baby any day now. We have no doubt Whitehall and Horner will be fabulous – and we await more dad jokes from the comedian.
