Margot Robbie Celebrates Her Birthday at the "Barbie" premiere in Seoul
Margot Robbie had a very Barbie birthday in Seoul on 2 July. The actor is currently in the midst of a major press tour for the "Barbie" movie, but that didn't stop her costars and fans from making her 33rd birthday a special one. As she was promoting the film at its premiere in Seoul, Robbie was surprised with a cake, as well as a "Happy Birthday" serenade from the crowd.
In videos shared on social media, Robbie was presented with a hot pink cake, topped with what appeared to be a bejewelled tiara and a single pink candle. Fans also captured a video of the sweet moment when hundreds of people sang "Happy Birthday" to the clearly touched star. As the crowd sings, Robbie can be seen grinning and holding her hands over her chest as her "Barbie" director Greta Gerwig and costar America Ferrera stand at her side.
Even before she was surprised with some birthday magic, Robbie was wowing fans with yet another stylish Barbie outfit. The actor re-created the 1985 Day-to-Night Barbie's look right down to the doll's white hat and giant, bedazzled phone as she walked the red carpet. Later, she removed her pink blazer to reveal a hot pink tulle skirt paired with a sparkly light pink top – Barbie's evening look.
This marks two years in a row that Robbie has celebrated her birthday while channelling Barbie. In 2022, she turned 32 on set while the movie was filming, and the cast and crew surprised her with a Barbie cake featuring a wide pink "skirt" made out of cake, according to E! News.
