Maya Jama and Stormzy Confirm Romance as He Declares He's Her No.1 Fan

Maya Jama has finally confirmed the news we've all been waiting for: she's back together with Stormzy. There's been weeks of speculation about the two getting close once again and photos published by The Daily Mail on 27 August appeared to confirm their relationship status. The "Love Island" presenter and grime star were pictured holidaying together in Hydra Island in Greece, strolling down the street holding hands. On 7 October, Jama posted a story on Instagram that made our hearts melt. She has been working in Fiji filming "Love Island Games" and was greeted at the airport by Stormzy holding a banner, hand drawn in bubble writing, reading, "Maya Jama #1 Fan", alongside a photo of her donning red hair in the latest Dolce & Gabbana campaign. She added a series of crying with laughter and watery eye emojis. Now, if this isn't the grand gesture we've been waiting for, we don't know what is.

The pair previously dated for four years before splitting up in 2019. Stormzy previously spoke to Louis Theroux, saying that their breakup was his "biggest catalyst for growth as a man". He also opened up to Charlamagne the God in his YouTube series in 2020, admitting that he "never loved anyone how I've loved her".

In July 2021, Jama was in a relationship with American basketball player Ben Simmons, and the pair got engaged in early 2022. But the pair struggled to make the long-distance work and they split in August 2022. Jama was briefly linked to Leonardo DiCaprio after they were spotted leaving the same Parisian club earlier this year, but Jama denied the gossip.
