Finn Wolfhard Says He Head-Butted Millie Bobby Brown Midkiss

Finn Wolfhard Says He Basically Head-Butted Millie Bobby Brown During Their First Kiss

After Millie Bobby Brown admitted how she really feels about her "Stranger Things" costar and friend Finn Wolfhard's kissing abilities, Wolfhard is finally getting a chance to defend himself. In a clip from his appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show," which airs 19 Jan., Barrymore opened up a deeper conversation about Brown's kissing comments. "I heard recently that she was talking about onscreen kissing with you, and I have to say, I of course was like, 'Oh what's this about,' and she was teasing that you were . . . "

"Lousy?" Wolfhard asked, finishing Barrymore's sentence. Through her laughter, Barrymore continued her question. "You guys are like brother and sister," she said. "You have supported each other, you have gotten each other through this time, you have raised each other in certain ways. How did you feel about your family member calling you a lousy kisser?"

Thankfully, according to Wolfhard, there is no family feud. "You know what, I was fine with it," he said. "My first onscreen kiss was with Millie, but I didn't know how to approach that in any way," he explained. "[It] just was like, 'You're gonna do this thing, and at the end of the take you're gonna kiss her," Wolfhard continued, setting the scene for the people in the audience. Unfortunately, due to the chaos, he said the kiss ended up in a full-on collision. "The romantic way of putting it was that I head-butted her," he remembered. "But I was 12, so . . . "

For context, Brown braved the hot seat on 10 Nov. for Vanity Fair's infamous lie-detector test. Though the "Enola Holmes" actor admitted she was nervous before the polygraph test, she answered most of the hard-hitting questions with ease. "You exclaimed kissing sucks after your first kiss with Finn Wolfhard. Is Finn just a lousy kisser?" the interviewer asked, to which Brown immediately responded, "He is." Brown laughed nervously, and the polygraph examiner confirmed she was indeed telling the truth. The interviewer then asked, "So he hasn't gotten better?," and Brown answered, "Not with me, no." Brown also confessed she hadn't yet told Wolfhard, though the interviewer warned he would likely find out. Brown previously revealed Wolfhard was actually her first kiss.

The interview included other questions about Brown's "Stranger Things" cast members and the series, including what she really thinks of Noah Schnapp's bowl cut and which other characters she believes should have died at the end of season four. Brown also shared that she wished people would stop making Eleven jokes.

Elsewhere in the video, Brown was questioned whether Henry Cavill was "a better Sherlock" than Benedict Cumberbatch and Robert Downey Jr. While she didn't sound super confident in her answer, she responded, "In my personal opinion, yes." Brown recently spoke about the "terms" of her friendship with Cavill, in which she's not allowed to pry about his personal life.

After the interrogation, when Brown was asked if she had lied at any point during the interview and wasn't caught, she replied with a sly grin and a simple "yes." It's hard to tell what exactly she told the truth about, so check out the video for yourself above.
