Made in Chelsea's Ollie and Gareth Locke-Locke Welcome Twins

Ollie and Gareth Locke-Locke Welcome Twins, and Their Names Have Important Meanings

A congratulations are in order! Ollie and Gareth Locke-Locke have welcomed their twins into the world. The couple, who knew each other for years before joining the cast of "Made In Chelsea", took to Instagram with a clip from their YouTube channel on 20 August to share their exciting baby news.

"We are so excited to announce that our beautiful twins are finally here and they are more precious than we could have ever imagined," the caption began. However, the video from their "Our Daddy Diaries" series revealed that their twins were actually born on 8 July, and were in the neonatal intensive care unit "for quite a long time", as they added: "It has been a scary time".

After waiting for three-and-a-half years to have a baby via a surrogate, the pair finally became dads to their baby boy and girl, and their names hold so much meaning. Their surrogate, Bex Ward, shared their monikers in her own baby announcement, revealing the twins are named Apollo Magnus Obi and Cosima Emily Bex. "Im so proud to be able to announce that I made a dream come true for 2 amazing daddies @ollielockeworld @garethplocke," she penned beneath the adorable picture of the couple's newborns.

In an interview with Hello! Magazine, the couple revealed the special meaning behind their twin's unique names. Gareth said: "I always wanted to have a son and call him Apollo. My dad's nickname for my mum [Margaret] is Maggie, so Magnus is the male version." They explained that their daughter's name, Cosima, means "chaos and beauty", which "she's already living up to", Ollie said. Her middle names, Emily and Bex, are tributes to two people in the couple's lives: Ollie's friend Emily Hartridge, who died in 2019, and the couple's surrogate, Ward. "We hadn't told Bex we were naming the baby after her, so Ollie took her to the registry office after they were born and surprised her," Gareth revealed to the outlet.

The couple have been met with an outpouring of love from fans, and celebrity friends alike following their announcement. "WOOHOOOOOOOOO 🥳 THEY'RE HERE & IM SO EXCITED !!!!!!!!! Xxxxxxxx," their former "Made in Chelsea" co-star Binky Felstead commented beneath their announcement post, whilst Sophie Hermann posted an adorable picture with her goddaughter, Cosima. "I can't believe the day is finally here!So so proud to be Cosima Emily Bex Locke-Locke's godmother and completely elated to see her and her brother Apollo healthy, happy and thriving!", she began. "My beloved boys @ollielockeworld ♥️ @garethplocke you are already the best daddies in the world and no one deserves this more than you!I love you all so much!"

The married couple previously announced their pregnancy on Instagram in February, posting a video of them on Instagram discovering the happy news, alongside the caption: "We are beyond delighted to finally be able to share the news that we are expecting twin baby Locke-Locke's into the world this summer!"

Ollie and Gareth, who got married in 2020 during the national lockdown with a Covid-secure ceremony at the National History Museum which was shown on the reality show, previously thanked their followers. "You have all been so wonderful throughout the last 3 years of us trying to have a family and we promise to share every step of this adventure with you all. For all those on their own journey to become parents we are with you and sending all the baby dust your way! Thank you to our sensational surrogate for being the most incredible human, the love we have for you and your family is just another level! Xx"

The reality stars recently quit "Made in Chelsea" after 12 years on the show in place of their YouTube series. Both Lockes, and their little ones, have already taken part in the show, with the new parents detailing their experience of raising their twins. We're so happy for the family, and can't wait to see more of their newborns.
