Lin, a Stanford University student, created the design of a rose on fire to symbolize unity. About two dozen of the survivors got the symbol tattooed on their bodies before the Oscars, and Gaga joined them. "At rehearsals the survivors and I made a pact," she revealed in a Snapchat story while tattoo artist David Allen inked the design.
