Things progressed quickly after that, as Kaia and Pete were spotted holding hands in NYC and making out in Miami, but in January 2020, the lovebirds decided take a break so Pete could focus on his mental health, according to a source for E! News. In February, during a YouTube interview with Charlamagne Tha God, Pete opened up about their romance, confessing that they were "dating for a few months" but "it just wasn't the right place or the right time at all."
