When Migos won best group at the 2018 BET Awards, Offset sparked speculation that he and Cardi B secretly got married by referring to her as "my wife" during his acceptance speech. According to a marriage certificate obtained by TMZ, the couple tied the knot on Sept. 20, 2017 in Fulton County, Georgia. This meant that the stars were already husband and wife when their public proposal happened that October.
Cardi B confirmed their secret nuptials in a June 2018 tweet. "One morning in September we woke up and decided to get married," she wrote. "I said I do, with no dress, no make up, and no ring!" Since she's always dreamed of getting proposed to, Offset made that happen by getting down on one knee on stage in Philadelphia. "I appreciate and love my husband so much for still wanting for me [to] have that special moment," she gushed.
