Prince Harry Surprises Kids From His WellChild Charity: “You’re Inspiring People"

Prince Harry may not be a senior member of the British royal family anymore, but it's clear the WellChild organisation will always hold a special place in his heart. The Duke of Sussex recently made a surprise appearance on one of the charity's Zoom calls to chat with previous winners of the WellChild Awards. Harry has been a patron of the charity since 2017, and during his appearance, he praised the kids for being an inspiration to all.

"That's why the children and the young people of WellChild are literally the very heart of this charity because you guys are so — you know who you are and you don't pretend to be anybody else," Harry said. "Because of that, you inspire every single nurse, every single caregiver, every single mom, every single dad, every single sibling, and outside of the WellChild community as well, you're inspiring people every single day."

WellChild, which was founded in 1977, provides care for seriously ill children and young people in the UK. The WellChild Awards honour sick children and their caregivers, and nominations for the 2021 ceremony are open until 31 Dec. Watch the sweet video call above now.
