Prince William and Kate Middleton appeared to be in good spirits when they stepped out for their first official outing since the release of Prince Harry's "Spare" memoir on Thursday. The Prince and Princess of Wales visited Liverpool, where they made stops at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and the Open Door Charity, which focuses on supporting young adults across Merseyside with their mental health.

During their visit, Will and Kate took a page out of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's book, petting a therapy dog at the hospital and taking selfies with the hospital staff and visitors.

In Harry's memoir, which hit bookshelves on 10 Jan., the Duke of Sussex made a series of allegations against the royal family, including that Will physically attacked him during an argument about his wife and that Kate was reportedly offended when Markle said she had baby brain.

While promoting his book, Harry also confirmed that he and Markle have no plans to return as working royals in a "60 Minutes" interview with Anderson Cooper. When Cooper asked Harry, "Can you see a day when you would return as a full-time member of the royal family?" Harry responded, "No," without hesitation.

William and the rest of the royal family have yet to publicly respond to the claims in Harry's memoir. See more photos of the couple's outing ahead.
