Rumer Willis Welcomes First Child and Makes Bruce Willis and Demi Moore Grandparents
Rumer Willis is a mum! On 25 April, the 34-year-old eldest daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis announced the arrival of her first child, a daughter named Louetta Isley Thomas Willis, with musician Derek Richard Thomas. "You are pure magic," Rumer and Thomas captioned the first photo of the tiny tot in a joint Instagram post. "Born at home on Tuesday April 18th You are more than we ever dreamed of ✨."
It's unclear when Rumer and Thomas first began dating, but they confirmed their romance on Instagram back in November 2022. A month later, the couple revealed they were expecting when they posted a black and white Instagram photo of Thomas kissing Rumer's baby bump.
Rumer has always dreamed of becoming a mum. During a February appearance on Peggy Rometo and Kimberly Van Der Beek's podcast Bathroom Chronicles (via People), Rumer shared, "It's like one of those weird things that I know sometimes people have such clarity about, like 'Oh, I want to be a musician, I want this,' and it was never a question for me that I wanted to be a mum."
She continued: "And that just felt like such a divine purpose and something that when I started thinking about it, felt like such joy." This marks Demi Moore and Bruce Willis's first grandchild, too.
