Shakira has been linked to a new man: NBA star Jimmy Butler. On 13 July, E! News reported that the singer and Butler were spotted a day earlier at Novikov Restaurant & Bar in London. An eyewitness told the outlet that Shakira, 46, and Butler, 33, arrived separately and were spotted "looking cosy" inside. They also departed separately.
On 14 July, Us Weekly reported that the pair "have been out a few times" but things are "very new." "Jimmy makes Shakira smile, and she feels happy spending time with him," a source told the outlet. Reps for Shakira did not respond to POPSUGAR's request for comment on the rumoured romance, and reps for Butler could not be reached.
Most recently, rumours were flying that Shakira was seeing Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton. Speculation grew after she appeared at multiple F1 races, including July's British Grand Prix (where Hamilton, 38, finished third), but neither party ever confirmed if anything romantic was going on.
Shakira was in a relationship with football player Gerard Piqué from 2010 to 2022. Earlier this year, it was reported that she learned Piqué, 36, had been unfaithful because some of her strawberry jam had gone missing, which Piqué doesn't like. She and Piqué share sons Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7.
Meanwhile, Butler's dating history remains a bit of a mystery. The Miami Heat player welcomed a daughter, Rylee, in 2019; her arrival actually delayed his on-court debut with the team. He previously played for the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Philadelphia 76ers.
Shakira was spotted at the 2023 NBA Finals on June 7, when Butler's Heat took on the Denver Nuggets (who ultimately won). The singer also attended Wimbledon this month.
