The O.C.s Cooper Family Reunited for a Selfie

The "O.C."'s Cooper Family Reunite in Cute Meetup

If you grew up in the early 2000s, there's a high chance that you were obsessed with American teen drama "The O.C." The show might have finished in 2007, but fans have had a California-shaped hole in their hearts ever since. This was momentarily filled on 22 Aug. when Melinda Clarke, who played Julie Cooper on the show, had a mini reunion and gave fans the nostalgic moment they'd all been waiting for. Posing with Mischa Barton (who played the show's It girl Marissa Cooper) and Tate Donovan (who played Jimmy Cooper, Marissa's dad and Julie's husband) on Instagram, the 53-year-old actress wrote: "SO THIS HAPPENED! Cooper family reunion! Warmed my heart to see these two, @mischabarton and @t8dono, at @tripleellc in Charleston. ❤️❤️❤️❤️".

While some pointed out that Willa Holland — who replaced Shailene Woodley as Kaitlin Cooper from season three onwards — was missing, others were too excited to notice. Rachel Bilson, who made her TV debut as Summer Roberts on the hit show, even commented: "And that's the coop scoop!!!! Love all three of these faces". Bilson has long been reminiscing about her days in Horbor High School as she cohosts a nostalgic podcast called "Welcome to The OC B*tches" with Clarke.

Despite recently opening up about the darker side of filming "The O.C.", including bullying, invasion into her personal life, long hours, and lack of protection from cast and crew, Barton was pleased to meet up with her former castmates. She commented on the picture: "Aww family photo 🤍🤍🤍 so good to catch up with you".

If this wasn't enough to whip fans into a frenzy, the day continued with a dreamy collision of two teen drama universes, both of which were created by Josh Schwartz. The trio bumped into two cast members from teen drama "Gossip Girl": Chase Crawford, who played Nate Archibald, and Jessica Szohr, who played Vanessa Abrams. Barton shared a picture of the group on her Instagram stories, saying: "Ran into "Gossip Girl" in Charleston last night what are the chances. Just kidding we were there for a reason. It was truly great to catch up with mum & dad".

The actors were all in the area to attend the Ep-ix & Chill Convention, so it was sadly not a spontaneous teen drama hangout. But our teenage selves can dream, right?
