Victoria Beckham Says She Refuses to Let David Beckham See Her Without Her Brows Done
From matching in 90s-inspired double denim outfits, to working out in the gym together, there's no denying that Victoria and David Beckham are the power couple to end all others. But in the fashion designer's latest revelation, it seems that there are still some things she would rather keep under wraps from her husband of 24 years, and that includes her au naturel visage.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, the 49-year-old discussed how her sense of fashion has developed over the years, from the thin eyebrows of her Spice Girls days to rocking up to a swimming pool in an extreme plunging gown in recent moments. "Over the years my brows have been so over-plucked that if you saw me without it you'd be horrified", she told the outlet. "David has never seen me without my brows. They're the first thing I do: wake up, put on the brow."
Whilst it may seem trivial for a woman of so much success to worry about her husband catching a glimpse of her bare face, Beckham explained that the treatments she undergoes – like laser and skin tightening – and makeup she now wears makes her feel confident in her own skin as she ages. "I wouldn't want to be 25 again. I was the kind of young woman who would look in the mirror and see what needed to be improved upon, as opposed to what actually looked OK," Beckham explained of her previous issues with her body image. "It's not about changing anything, it's just about looking at the best version of yourself."
Elsewhere in the interview, the Victoria Beckham Beauty owner revealed that her youngest child, Harper Seven, is following in the footsteps of her mum, and can even do "a full face and contour for quite some time."
"She's good at doing it [makeup] very naturally," Beckham revealed of the 11-year-old, who still isn't allowed to wear makeup outside of the house, though. "Going to Space NK is her favourite treat after school. If she does well in a test I'll take her to the one down the road – it's her favourite thing. She's obsessed."
