A contestant vying for Colton Underwood's attention on The Bachelor used a stunning tactic upon meeting her would-be fiancé. No, she didn't arrive in a motorized cupcake or dress up in a shark costume. (Or was it a dolphin?) Brianna "Bri" Barnes simply showed off her charming Australian accent. The thing is . . . she's not Australian.

In a new promo shared ahead of the forthcoming season's release on Jan. 7, the 24-year-old model from Los Angeles put on subtle accent during her first meeting with Colton, which prompted him to ask where she's from. Bri responded, "The accent, it's Australian. I was hoping that you're kind of a sucker for accents." The thing is, Bri never said she's Australian — she simply said the accent is. Bri is a goddamn genius.

There is a slight issue, however. What's the game plan here? Is Bri going to use this accent throughout the season? The first episode? When she finally does tell Colton the truth, will he be charmed or concerned? Either way, I can't wait to see this unfold as they crash and burn — I mean, fall in love.
