Legendary Kill Bill actress Uma Thurman stars in the series as Nancy Lefevre, an Arizona mother of two who loses her daughter Becky to a tragic accident, though Becky's heart continues to beat on in the chest of young transplant patient named Sasha Yazzie.

Best known for portraying President Fitzgerald Grant in Scandal, Tony Goldwyn will costar as Nancy's husband, Ben Lefevre.

Lilliya Reid — who's also set to appear in the upcoming film Viena and the Fantomes alongside Dakota Fanning and Zoë Kravitz — plays prom queen Becky Lefevre, whose death ends up saving Sasha's life (while also causing Sasha several other complications).

Nicholas Galitzine — who also appears in the thriller Share, which premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival — portrays Elliott Lefevre, Becky's apathetic and destructive twin brother who's left reeling after his sister's death, especially since he's newly sober and attempting to put his dark past behind him.

Marcus LaVoi — who most recently played former US Marine Marcus Rhodes in Den of Thieves alongside Gerard Butler — will play Big Frank Yazzie, Sasha's father.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks actress Kyanna Simone Simpson appears as Yvonne, Sasha's best friend who grew up alongside her in the same low-income housing development.

Best known for her roles as Officer Brenda Patimkin in Blue Bloods and Lena in Royal Pains, Sarah Mezzanotte portrays Marnie, a popular perfectionist who is more than happy to be in the spotlight once Becky is out of the picture.
