Drake and Josh Reboot 2019

Hug Me, Brotha! Drake Bell and Josh Peck Are Teasing a "Drake & Josh" Reunion

After more than a decade of petitions, fans may finally be able to celebrate the long-awaited Drake & Josh reboot. This week, actor Drake Bell confirmed that he and costar Josh Peck are working together again on a new television show.

Bell dished the details on the quasi-revival on Thursday while walking the iHeartRadio Music Awards red carpet. In an interview with E! News, he said, "Josh and I have been talking and he's come up with some cool ideas. And, yeah I can't really go into exactly what we're doing but it's going to be really cool and exciting. I'm really excited to do it."

While the onscreen stepbrothers are planning to work together again, it will not be a reboot of the original show, which ran on Nickelodeon from 2004 to 2007. "Neither of us want to do a reboot," said Bell. "It had to be something cool, it has to be something creative, so, no, honestly I never thought that we would be coming back . . . I think we've come up with something that's a little bit more creative and a little more exciting." Peck also coyly hinted at the reunion in a tweet on Friday.

Bell and Peck are said to be in talks with several networks about the project, which, according to PEOPLE, is expected to "be more adult and really funny." Details are still up in the air, but Bell is eager for the fan reaction. "We knew that if we were ever going to come back, it's got to be something cool. I'm excited to see what the fans think."
