Jessica Jones Faces Down a Grave New Threat in the Season 3 Teaser
As sad as we are that Netflix cancelled Jessica Jones, at least it looks like the Marvel series will go out with a strong final season.
In the first teaser for season three, which dropped on May 28, we find ourselves in the hallway of Jessica's (Krysten Ritter) apartment building. A man's voice is heard saying, "Jessica Jones, you are a fraud. You're a cheater. No longer," before the anonymous person bangs on her door and attacks her. There's only the briefest glimpse of the man's face interspersed with Jessica's silently screaming face, which has us even more worried about the season's tagline: "sometimes even heroes can't save themselves." Uh-oh.
According to Netflix's official description of the upcoming episodes, Jessica will have to reunite with Trish (Rachael Taylor) and mend their fractured relationship in order to take down a highly intelligent psychopath (who we can only assume is the dude knocking on the door of Alias Investigations in the teaser). When they experience "a devastating loss," their differing ideas of heroism will send them "on a collision course that will forever change them both."
Will Jessica make it out of season three alive? Will Trish? We'll just have to wait and see when the third and final season hits Netflix on June 14. In the meantime, you can keep scrolling to see the first-look images from the new episodes.
