Spencer, Fridge, Martha, and Bethany Take Things to the Next Level in New Jumanji Trailer

The 2017 sequel to Jumanji, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, was a hilarious thrill ride from start to finish, and it seems like the next instalment in the franchise will be much of the same.

In the first trailer for for Jumanji: The Next Level, we see young Spencer (Alex Wolff) longing for the friendships he shared with Fridge, Martha, and Bethany within the video game they got sucked into the previous year. So, despite knowing danger awaits him, he tinkers with it until he ends up back in the jungle they narrowly escaped the last time around. Naturally his friends follow.

The adult avatars they initially chose (played by Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black) are back in action, albeit with some unexpected twists — Johnson's Spencer and Hart's Fridge are now the avatars of IRL Spencer and Fridge's grandfathers (played by Danny DeVito and Danny Glover). On top of that, the game has changed entirely, and the players now have to brave unexplored areas and new locales — dry AF deserts, snow-covered mountains — to save Spencer and once again escape the world of Jumanji.
