Is There an Ocean’s 8 Postcredits Scene?

No, Ocean’s 8 Doesn't Have a Postcredits Scene — Here's Why It Doesn't Need One

Ocean's 8 is so fun, so slick, and so visually stunning (those GOWNS) that by the time the credits finally start to roll, you might not want to get up right away. To be fair, a performance as spectacular as the one Anne Hathaway gives as seemingly airheaded actress Daphne Kluger deserves a moment of reflection at the end of the film. As does Cate Blanchett's collection of suits. And Sandra Bullock's charmingly gritty Debbie Ocean. And Rihanna's . . . well . . . it's Rihanna.

You know what? Everyone in this movie — and we mean everyone, because this A-list cast is to die for — knocks it out of the park. That being said, we wouldn't advise sticking around once the credits appear for any reason other than trying to catch your breath after their epic Met Gala heist. Ocean's 8 does not go the postcredits scene route, à la Marvel, but it does seem to lay the foundation for a sequel or potentially even two more movies.

For starters, if the film ended up becoming a trilogy, it would line it up perfectly with the original set of heist flicks (Ocean's 8, Ocean's 9, Ocean's 10, Ocean's 11, etc.). Secondly, without spoiling anything for you, the eight badass women who decide to steal Cartier's legendary Toussaint necklace each end up in positions that would make it relatively easy for them to return for a sequel. And finally, we're still not totally convinced Debbie's brother, Danny Ocean (George Clooney), is actually dead — something tells us another movie would set up the perfect opportunity for an unexpected cameo.
