Clearly Amy Adams has never heard the quote "you can't go home again" before, because that's exactly what her character attempts to do in the mysterious first trailer for Sharp Objects. Adams stars in HBO's adaptation of the Gillian Flynn novel, which follows Camille Preaker, an emotionally unstable journalist who is sent to cover a string of murders in her hometown. Although we can't no for sure how closely the 8-episode miniseries will follow the book, the brief teaser looks promising. Patricia Clarkson, Chris Messina, and It's Sophia Lillis costar, and it will premiere sometime in July 2018.
