This Christmas, the BBC is giving us exactly the kind of festive cheer we deserve: a Duchess of Cambridge and Mary Berry TV special called A Berry Royal Christmas. Both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will appear in the one-off episode, which will air on BBC One on Dec. 16.

In a series of images released in November, the Duchess can be seen decorating cakes with Berry at RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey, and it appears to have happened on the same day the pair unveiled the duchess's Back to Nature garden back in September. In other images, the Duchess is smiling with husband Prince William, plus Berry, and fellow TV chef and past Bake Off winner, Nadiya Hussain. The foursome are all proudly holding up a finished Christmas meringue roulade, surrounded by twinkling Christmas lights in the Winter chalet at the Rosewood London Hotel.

It appears A Berry Royal Christmas will have a deeper message than just enjoying delicious baked goods, however, which is hardly surprising given the Duke and Duchess's varied charitable work. William joins Berry at The Passage in London — which runs London's largest voluntary resource centre for homeless and vulnerable people, helping up to 200 people per day — and the Duchess speaks at The Brink in Liverpool, which is a nonalcoholic bar that was set up by Action on Addiction and employs people who are overcoming addiction themselves.

A Berry Royal Christmas will air on BBC One on Dec. 16 at 8.30 p.m. Keep on reading to see the first look photos from the TV special.
