Despite all the lavish shopping sprees and exquisite parties in "Bling Empire," cast member Kane Lim recently clarified he does have a day job, one that may come as a surprise to fans of another popular Netflix reality series. On May 5, Lim confirmed on his Instagram that he's currently an agent with The Oppenheim Group, the real estate brokerage at the centre of "Selling Sunset."
"I have my licence at the O group," he wrote. "I represent myself buying and selling properties 💪🏼 fyi: agents take 2.5-3 percent for every one transaction and that's a lot of money and that's why I got my licence so I can save the money ha lol."
Lim has previously spoken about his involvement in The Oppenheim Group and even co-listed a property with Chrishell [Stause], but he has yet to appear on "Selling Sunset," nor have any "Selling Sunset" cast members made cameos on "Bling Empire." "I think one of the biggest misconceptions that people have about me is that I don't work at all," Lim told Singaporean daily The Straits Times back in February. "But I do work in real estate and I'm now part of The Oppenheim Group, working alongside Chrishell."
Lim is also listed as a realtor associate on The Oppenheim Group website, described as an "experienced real estate developer and agent" who was most recently focussed on residential projects and commercial properties in Asia. According to the site, he also sold and developed three properties in the Venice Beach area in LA.
