This Woman Belted Out a Cover of "You Are My Sunshine," and the Voice Judges Went Wild
Make way for Brennan Lassiter! The 20-year-old singer from Dacusville, SC, brought The Voice's judges to their feet with a powerful country cover for her blind audition during Monday night's episode. She sang "You Are My Sunshine" as a tribute to the grandparents who raised her and was rewarded with a rousing response from Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Gwen Stefani.
"All I'm saying is give us a chance," Clarkson said after Lassiter's performance. "This is me begging, for the three of us." Lassiter clearly had a tough decision ahead of her as each judge made their case. Stefani even asked boyfriend Shelton if he would please let Lassiter join her team.
