Dani Harmer Returns For New CBBC Show, My Mum Tracy Beaker

Tracy Beaker Is Back With a Brand New Show, and No, We're Not Too Old to Watch it

PSA: Tracy Beaker is coming back with a brand new series on CBBC, and no, you're absolutely not too old to watch it.

Twenty years after the original series, Beaker (played by Dani Harmer) is back, but this time, as a mum. My Mum Tracy Beaker follows Beaker's 10-year-old daughter Jess (played by Emma Maggie Davies) who is navigating the rocky relationship with her mum and her mum's new famous footballer boyfriend. In addition to plenty of new faces, the show sees the return of Beaker's Dumping Ground rival Justine Littlewood (played by Montanna Thompson), her foster mum Cam (played by Lisa Coleman), and also beaker's birth mum, Carly Beaker (played by Ruth Gemmell, who you might recognise as Lady Violet Bridgerton). Much like life at the Dumping Ground 20 years ago, there will be plenty of drama with the Beaker girls.

As is the original The Story of Tracy Beaker, My Mum Tracy Beaker, published in 2018, is authored by Jacqueline Wilson.

The three 30-minute My Mum Tracy Beaker episodes will air on 12, 13, and 14 Feb, at 5pm and will be available on the BBC iPlayer after they have aired.
