Nelson Has Fez Bothered On “Euphoria,” So Let’s Investigate Who He Is

If it seems like every season two episode of "Euphoria" is more chaotic than the last, that's because it is. The Jan. 30 episode saw Cal (Eric Dane) totally spiraling, Rue (Zendaya) struggling in her relationship with Jules (Hunter Schafer) and with her substance abuse, and Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) is just absolutely losing it over Nate (Jacob Elordi) because she's dangerously in love with him despite the fact that he's still sort of, kind of dating her best friend. In the midst of all of this, there was a tiny moment that was almost too easy to miss because of how loud all the rest of the storylines were: the matter of who the f*ck Nelson is.

In a short scene in the middle of the episode, Fez (Angus Cloud), Ashtray (Javon Walton), and Faye (Chloe Cherry) are all chilling at home when there's a knock at the door. One of Fez's friends (colleagues, acquaintances, fellow drug dealers?) is there to tell Fez that "Nelson's baby mama" is asking questions. Our immediate thought was that Nelson is Mouse's real name. After all, Ashtray killed Mouse at the beginning of the season with a hammer, quite brutally. At hearing this statement, Fez seemed annoyed and irritated, though it's hard to get a good read on Fez.

Twitter is just as stumped as we are about who Nelson actually is. One person even jokingly said, "You telling me mouse name was Nelson? #Euphoria I can't be scared of a mf named Nelson."

However, some fans believe that Fez's colleague actually did say Mouse and viewers just mistook the name he said for Nelson. The responses are pretty split, but for the most part, there's confusion.

Whatever the case may be, we'll likely get an answer to who "Nelson" is (and perhaps even who his "baby mama" is) sooner than later. "Euphoria" introduces new questions as quickly as they answer them with every passing episode, so we'll just wait and see at this point.
