The Great Celebrity Bake Off Stand Up to Cancer Cast 2023
A "Friends" Star and a "TOWIE" Icon are the TV Duo we Never Knew we Needed
It's not every day that you mention Gemma Collins and David Schwimmer in the same sentence, but such is life. The lineup for the "The Great Celebrity Bake Off" has been announced as part of Channel 4's Stand Up to Cancer entertainment, and the pair are both preparing to prove they do not have soggy bottoms.
As a number of famous faces compete for the coveted Star Baker position, as decided by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, they will also be hoping to raise money to support cancer research. Among the class of 2023 are Schwimmer, who played Ross in "Friends", "The Only Way Is Essex"'s Gemma Collins, and Olympic gold medallist Tom Daley. We did not have these three stressing about icing on our 2023 bingo card.
Fans were quick to take to Twitter to praise the show's bookers for the ecclectic cast. "The celebrity great British bake off lineup wtf omg so many British icons," one wrote. Another added, "I'm sorry?? Gemma Collins and David Schwimmer. Together. On Telly. Making baked goods. For charity? Take my money."
The lineup also includes: "Ted Lasso"'s Ellie Taylor, "Loose Women"'s Coleen Nolan, comedian Paddy McGuinness, "The Inbetweeners" Joe Thomas, comedian Lucy Beaumont, TV presenter AJ Ododu, radio DJ Adele Roberts, actor David Morrissey, comedian Tim Key, actor Jessica Hynes, comedian Mike Wozniack, "Loose Womens"'s Judi Love, "Dragon's Den" star Deborah Meaden, "The Repair Shop"'s Jay Blades, comedian Rose Matafeo, former "Little Mix" member Jesy Nelson, and comedian Tom Davis.
While there's been no official announcement of the launch date, or the combinations of famous faces that will appear in each episode together, there's no denying this lineup bakes us very excited!
