Lana Del Rey Is Headlining BST Hyde Park, Marking Her First London Concert in 5 Years

This is not a drill: Lana Del Rey is set to headline BST Hyde Park this summer. The announcement came on 21 April via the official BST Hyde Park Twitter account which revealed that the "Doin' Time" singer-songwriter will be closing out the London summer festival on 9 July. She joins a stellar list of headliners at BST Hyde Park, which include Blackpink's festival debut, as well as Pink, Bruce Springsteen, Guns n'Roses, Billy Joel, and Take That (who are also taking to the stage for the king's coronation concert next month.)

Fans were, of course, going wild online after Del Rey was announced, which marks her first show in London in five years. "I'm gonna collapse," tweeted one fan, while another added, "I'm getting tickets for Lana Del Rey too you really give me Blackpink and then Lana Del Rey too OMG". Del Rey's last performance inthe capital was in 2017 at a one-off gig at Brixton Academy. Of course, fans will remember the 37-year-old headlining Latitude Festival in Suffolk in 2019, where she closed the festival with her bangers like "Blue Jeans", "Pretty When You Cry", and "Video Games". While the rest of the lineup for her day is yet to be announced, there's no doubt it will be a special day.

Tickets for her show go on general sale at 10am on 27 April on the official BST Hyde Park website. A presale for American Express cardholders will go live at 10am on 21 April, but you'd better be quick if you want a chance at experiencing the ultimate sad girl performance in the flesh.

Recently, the performer has collaborated with global icon Taylor Swift on one of her "Midnights" tracks, "Snow On The Beach", whilst she's also celebrating a reported engagement to boyfriend Evan Winiker. 2023 is certainly shaping up to be a year to remember for the star.
