Meredith Bonds With Her Cellmate In This Exclusive Clip From Grey's Anatomy

Meredith Grey has been going through a lot during this season of Grey's Anatomy. Not only is her medical licence hanging in the balance (though purely at the fault of her actions), but now she's been thrown in jail for missing an important court date. The former surgeon (is it too soon to call her that?) has a lot of work ahead of her to untangle the convoluted web she began spinning in season 15 and, thanks to the clip above, we have an exclusive peek at how her time behind bars will unfold.

In the video, Meredith deals with her anxiety by unpacking all her recent escapades to her cellmate, who occupies herself with a puzzle as Meredith explains her situation. When Meredith inquires whether or not the other woman has kids like her own brood of three, her cellmate responds by explaining how she landed in prison. Similar to Meredith, she's a working mother, but the parallels end there. While Meredith's troubles come from her defiant actions and she'll likely get out of it relatively unscathed, her cellmate's unfortunate situation is unlikely to end anytime soon.
