Will At Home With the Furys Return for Season 2?

A Season 2 of Netflix's "At Home With the Furys" Could Be on the Horizon

The first season of "At Home With The Furys" gave fans an insight into the boxing legend Tyson Fury as he navigates retirement from the sport, his wife Paris, and their six kids (because the series was filmed before their seventh child was born). And, it's safe to say that the series has gone down a treat.

The show has shed light on differing parenting styles – including Tyson's brother Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague's debate on whether to keep Bambi in school – and how Paris and Tyson manage to hold down the fort at their Lancashire home with their growing family.

While the show has been a resounding success with viewers, there has been speculation about whether Netflix will be commissioning season 2. And it seems even the first series almost didn't happen. Speaking to Queensberry promotions, Tyson said: "I wanted to get rid of the filming. I couldn't take it any more, it was overwhelming. I tried to pay my way out of it, but I couldn't, so we got through it."

The boxer, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2017, and has previously dealt with depression, anxiety, alcohol and drug abuse, as per BBC, reportedly found the fly-on-the-wall documentary stressful. According to a MailOnline source, Tyson was excited about the series from a money-making perspective "in place of the money he would have earned by taking on a fight". They added: "But the filming process was particularly stressful and coupled with the fact he's now an active boxer again after coming out of retirement, he decided to put a series two on hold for the foreseeable future."

However, there still might be a future for the family's TV career. The Sun has since reported that a second series has been given the greenlight by the boxer. "Tyson had some reservations but has finally said he'd be up for inviting the cameras back into his life," the source said. A representative of Netflix did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR's request for comment. With the seventh bundle of joy joining the Fury family, it would sure be some good TV.
