When a gorgeous immortal vampire (played by Catherine Deneuve) loses her mortal lover, she sets her sights on a new conquest: a lovely young scientist (Susan Sarandon), who quickly falls under the vampire's spell. Unfortunately, Sarandon's character doesn't take as well to vampirism as the lover who came before her did, and she requires some extra convincing.
