Lord, Taystee has been through the ringer. The charismatic, intelligent, and thoughtful inmate begins season six still heartbroken over the death of her best friend, Poussey. After spending much of season five negotiating for a better quality of life for the prisoners, Taystee finds herself looking at a long prison sentence in season six.
After CO Piscatella is found murdered, the FBI needs to find someone they can hold accountable, and Taystee meets their mark. Accused of his murder, Taystee ends up with a great lawyer, thanks in part to the Black Lives Matter movement and activists who want to support her. Unfortunately, she is found guilty of the murder and returns to max.
