Terrence Howard managed to have a consistently successful acting career for more than 25 years, but in September 2019, the Hustle & Flow star announced that when the now-cancelled series Empire (in which he plays Lucious Lyon) wraps its sixth and final season, he will quit acting for good. When asked by Extra's Cheslie Kryst what he planned on doing after Empire, Howard said he wouldn't be taking on any new roles. "Oh, I'm done with acting. I'm done pretending," he said. Instead, Howard said he wants to focus on "bringing truth to the world," though what that entails isn't yet clear.
