Kelly Macdonald joins the cast in season six as DCI Joanne Davidson, whose unconventional techniques in investigating an unsolved murder raise suspicions among the AC-12 team. Macdonald is best known for her role in Boardwalk Empire and for voicing Merida in the animated film Brave.
