Set during the final days of World War II, The Last Green Valley by Mark Sullivan follows Emil and Adeline Martel as they make the impossible decision to wait for Russia to take over their Ukrainian village or join the hated German Nazis who swear they'll protect them due to their status as "pure-blood" Germans.
